The word “thali” means plate and is an old custom. It’s essentially a traditional meal

21 Nile Street, Woollongabba, 10am – 1pm

Our founder’s in-laws are from India, and her cooking is very much influenced from her mother-in-law who was the chef at her own Indian restaurants in Queensland for many years! These recipes are authentic and guaranteed to impress.

The word “thali” means plate and is an old custom. It’s essentially a traditional meal that’s served with up to 10 varieties of dishes in small round bowls called katoris. They are arranged on a big plate known as a thali.  This Thali meal is a combination of Fiona’s in-laws favourite dishes.

This class is loaded with full body flavours, and a great variety of dishes to try out!  Wholesome Bellies’ classes are for all levels as all recipes are simple, using only a few key ingredients.  Why complicate life 🙂

This class is suitable for gluten free – every dish is gluten free!

Our Menu

  • Aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower stir fry)
  • Sambar dhal
  • Lemon rice
  • Eggplant curry with mustard seeds
  • Coconut chutney
  • Dorsa

The class is 100% plant-based. This class is gluten-free. As a vegan establishment the use of nuts in our premises is high.  Please note that our meals may contain traces of nuts.

Please note tickets are not refundable, however if unable to attend you can transfer the tickets to a friend.

Whilst very rare, if we do not meet minimum ticket sales for our classes, they will be rescheduled, or an option for a refund will be provided.
