DESCRIPTION:The word “thali” means plate and is an old custom. It’s essentially a traditional meal\n\n\n\n21 Nile Street\, Woollongabba\, 3pm – 6pm\n\n\n\nOur founder’s in-laws are from India\, and her cooking is very much influenced from her mother-in-law who was the chef at her own Indian restaurants in Queensland for many years! These recipes are authentic and guaranteed to impress. \n\n\n\nThe word “thali” means plate and is an old custom. It’s essentially a traditional meal that’s served with up to 10 varieties of dishes in small round bowls called katoris. They are arranged on a big plate known as a thali.  This Thali meal is a combination of Fiona’s in-laws favourite dishes. \n\n\n\nThis class is loaded with full body flavours\, and a great variety of dishes to try out!  Wholesome Bellies’ classes are for all levels as all recipes are simple\, using only a few key ingredients.  Why complicate life 🙂 \n\n\n\nThis class is suitable for gluten free – every dish is gluten free! \n\n\n\nOur Menu \n\n\n\n\nAloo gobi (potato and cauliflower stir fry) \n\n\n\nSambar dhal\n\n\n\nLemon rice\n\n\n\nEggplant curry with mustard seeds\n\n\n\nCoconut chutney\n\n\n\nDorsa\n\n\n\n\nThe class is 100% plant-based. This class is gluten-free. To support her daughter’s decision to go vegan she returned to University to study Nutrition and Dietetics.  Since then Lynn has proudly published her own book Nourished Vegan: Teenagers Guide to help other families considering plant-based eating through wholesome recipes\, practical tips and helpful information. Lynn’s passion has inspired her to lead plant based workshops and classes across a variety of cuisines\, which she is excited to share with people at any stage of their plant-based journey at Wholesome Bellies.

DESCRIPTION:Soft\, fluffy pillows paired with divine vegan sauces!\n\n\n\n21 Nile Street\, Woollongabba\,  3pm – 6pm\n\n\n\nGnocchi is an absolute favourite dish for so many and getting the texture and flavour right can be a bit tricky. \n\n\n\nThere isn’t a better way to spend a few hours\, cooking and feasting on gnocchi.   In this class we’ll learn how to make three variations of gnocchi and three pasta sauces – all 100% plant-based. \n\n\n\nAnd we’ll even whip up an almond\, chocolate tart to indulge in after our gnocchi party. \n\n\n\nClasses are very personal and run by Fiona\, at our beautiful kitchen and restaurant at Woolloongabba.  We take things slow\, we have an absolute ball and then sit down to a gnocchi feast.  You’ll leave the class with a full tummy and a full heart. \n\n\n\nThis class is can be gluten free upon request. \n\n\n\nOur Menu \n\n\n\n\nSpinach gnocchi with a creamy mushroom carbonara sauce\n\n\n\nClassic gnocchi with a classic tomato and basil sauce\n\n\n\nSweet potato gnocchi with a roast tomato and garlic sauce\n\n\n\nChocolate almond tart\n\n\n\n\nPlease let us know if you are gluten free or coeliac so we can be sure to modify the items above to suit your dietary requirements. With our first Thai Class\, Thai Sensations\, being a huge success\, and more of a beginners class\, we’ve dug deep to create a new class full of your Thai favourites. This class is packed with vibrant colours\, using traditional Thai flavours and ingredients as well as loads of vegetables. Aka Saucy Wench! \n\n\n\nThis street food favourite across China and Taiwan will have you salivating before you even start the class. And that’s a promise. \n\n\n\nIn this class you will all learn to make\, by hand\, the dough for these famous buns.  Kneading by hand and learning the technique to get them perfect. Whilst they are proving\, we’ll work as a group to make our fillings.  Two savoury buns and one sweet bun. \n\n\n\nThis class is 100% plant-based\, and 100% delicious.  Unfortunately\, this class can’t be gluten free. \n\n\n\nThe Menu \n\n\n\n\nHow to make the Bao Bun dough\n\n\n\nFirst filling is a crumbed King Oyster Mushroom with a smashed cucumber Asian salad\n\n\n\nSecond filling is a sticky eggplant\n\n\n\nThird filling is home-made vegan Nutella\n\n\n\n\nWe will then teach you how to steam the buns and we’ll enjoy an incredible Bao Bun feast as a class with plenty to take home. \n\n\n\nThe class is 100% plant-based and served with Saucy Wenchs’ incredible vegan sauces. It’s essentially a traditional meal that’s served with up to 10 varieties of dishes in small round bowls called katoris. And that’s a promise. \n\n\n\nIn this class you will all learn to make\, by hand\, the dough for these famous buns.  Kneading by hand and learning the technique to get them perfect. Lynn’s passion has inspired her to lead plant based workshops and classes across a variety of cuisines\, which she is excited to share with people at any stage of their plant-based journey at Wholesome Bellies.
